The Jet Tone Studio B is an fine trumpet mouthpiece for players who prefer a slightly rounded rim and ease of play. It has a shallow cup with a dropped undercut. They are famous for their quality tone and tendency to assist endurance. Jet Tone mouthpieces were legendary throughout the ’60s and ’70s as commercial trumpet players sought to expand their range and as trumpeters like Bll Chase and Maynard Ferguson (who both played Jet Tone) were among the world’s most popular trumpeters. Al Hirt and many others were Jet Tone users as well. The Jet Tone brand was in danger of disappearing altogether but was recently revitalized and reintroduced with strict conformity to the original specifications.
